Bird Sanctuary

Looking for a family-friendly garden? The Centennial Garden is a beautiful garden tucked away in Floral Park. Before entering the garden, we took a stroll around the outside paths surrounded by flowers and trees. They have benches so you can sit and relax or even read a book. When you enter the garden, they have a top area that overlooks the Bird Sanctuary. The path has beautiful sculptures, butterfly gardens, water fountains, birdhouses, flowers, a bridge, and more.

As you make your way down the path or the stairs you can explore the raised vegetable beds, flowers, gazebos, and children's garden which has a fun wheel and color-coded stones. My kids called it the Candyland game. The kids have an open area to play and explore all the different flowers and wildlife.  The kids encountered birds, bees, and even a lizard today.
